The Morning Star of Korean Calligraphy Jeomsoon Park

Jun 9, 2023 Jeomsoon Park is a lecture on calligraphy at Wongokdong, Ansan City. Calligraphy in Korea was well known back in the Chosun dynasty. She has devoted herself here to volunteer work in this land of affection for about 40 years. She nurtures the training of the younger generation and is well known as a leader and respected by students. The sweat drops of her striving give students fiery passion.

At the moment, there are 20 students, 5 men and 15 women in the class. They will get a 1-year course certificate at the end of the year. Most students are approximately 50 and older, who usually have more free time. The younger people are busy with their lives so they can't attend this class, said Park. This calligraphy class is just for hobby and fun, not to make money. They exhibited their  calligrophy artwork at the end.

In 1974, Park got married to a real estate property dealer in Ansan and has lived there for about 45 years. She received 1 Prime Minister's award, 2 Gyeonggi governor's awards and 7 Ansan city mayor's awards.
